The Insight Bowl featuring Missouri vs. Iowa had the Tigers spread at -2.5, having moved up from -1.  Gambling911.com has seen a handful of -3’s.  Missouri was getting around 70 percent of the betting action on the spread.  Iowa was seeing over 60 percent on the money line, that would pay out $12 for every $10 with an outright win.  The 46.5 total was seeing around 60 percent on the OVER.

Scout Inc. has the Tigers winning by 7 points.

Hawkeyes coach Kirk Ferentz is one of the best in the business but has a lot to overcome in this game. Without Robinson's slashing running style to offset deficiencies along the offensive line and the deep threat of Johnson-Koulianos to keep the Tigers honest, Iowa will be handcuffed offensively. The Hawkeyes' defense will keep them in the game early but the defensive line will wear down because of Iowa's offensive struggles and Missouri's high-tempo offense. Throw in confidence issues stemming from the Hawkeyes losing their final three games of the regular season and the explosive Tigers get the win.

Some important betting trends for this game included: The Tigers are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games following a Straight Up win, but the Tigers are also 5-12 Against The Spread vs. a team with a winning record.  The Hawkeyes are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 Bowl games.  They are also 7-2 ATS in their last 9 non-conference games.  The trends are not significant in this game.
