More than 60 percent of gamblers betting on Sarah Palin’s US Presidential aspirations say she’ll be throwing her hat into the ring.  The volume of betting was over 6700 to date at intrade.com, an online betting exchange that is currently offering options on the 2012 Presidential election.

Palin, who currently has her own successful reality series, has yet to formally announce a run for President.  Recent polls suggest her popularity is sliding.  Only 49 percent of Republicans say they would support the 2008 running mate of Arizona Senator John McCain.  Much fewer Democrats would support Palin.

In the battle for the GOP presidential nomination, the survey suggests

"That's a huge 18-point drop since December of 2008, when two-thirds of GOPers said they were likely to support Palin," CNN Polling Director Keating Holland explained. "It also puts her well behind potential rivals Mike Huckabee and Mitt Romney, and a bit behind Newt Gingrich as well."

Meanwhile, President Barack Obama’s ratings appear to be on the rise somewhat.
