Daniel Negreanu Now The All Time Career Poker Tournament Money Winner

With this week’s PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) Super High Rollers event second place finish, Daniel Negreanu has surpassed Phil Ivey as the all time career poker tournament money winner.  He retakes the crown.

The second place finish at the PCA yielded Negreanu a whopping $1 million.

The Canadian poker pro who now makes the US his home has a lifetime total take on the live poker tournament scene of $14,116,191.  He surpasses Ivey’s $13.86 million by just over $250,000.        

Eugene Katchalov took first place at this week’s event.

Negreanu said: “Eugene Katchalov is one of the best players in the world, hands down, so losing to him in such a prestigious event is nothing to be embarrassed about, I fought really hard but the cards didn’t go my way. The million bucks doesn't suck, and I'm proud of the fact that the finish allowed me to retake Phil Ivey as the number one all-time money winner in tournament poker history. I hope and expect to battle Ivey for that distinction for the next 20 years or so.”
