Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler is being criticized for his departure early in the third quarter of the NFC Championship game against arch rivals, the Green Bay Packers.  It was obviously the biggest game of his life.

Cutler’s limp led to claims he is a “wimp”.

Lucky’s Sportsbook famed sportsbook Director Jimmy Vacarro echoed those sentiments following the game, though he didn’t come right out and say Cutler is a “wimp”.

"I don't think he was that hurt," Vaccaro told Matt Youmans of the Las Vegas Review Journal. "I think he was more embarrassed than hurt."

Las Vegas Hilton sports book director Jay Kornegay said:  "It really surprised me that Cutler didn't give it a shot.  It's not Week 4 against Carolina. This is the NFC championship."

The Twitter universe also blasted Cutler.

One person tweeted:  “Happy that yesterday's football game confirmed what us Broncos Fans already knew...Jay Cutler is a little B@#*%”.

Another person wrote: “Who wants to play QB for Chicago? Bears fans are already burning their Jay Cutler jerseys.”

Yet another wrote: “I don't question that Jay Cutler was injured. I question his big disconnect, not engaging with his teammates. Any questions?”

But as it turns out, Vacarro might have been wrong.

The Chicago Sun-Times now reports that Cutler has a torn MCL in his left knee.  Some early critics began supporting the sometimes sullen quarterback.

That said, Youmans noted that Philip Rivers played on a torn-up knee when the San Diego Chargers needed him in the postseason, and that's one of many reasons Rivers is so admired.
