Syracuse Point Shaving

Reports began swirling this week accusing Syracuse Orange basketball players Scoop Jardine, James Southerland and Dion Waiters of engaging in a “point-shaving” scheme.  Since these reports came out, a few of the sites featuring articles have taken them offline.

The initial report has since been pulled as well. WYNN’s Andy Adamson was first to publish the allegations.

OrangeFizz.net, the popular Syracuse sports blog, issued claims that the reports were false.

Jardine has since issued this statement: “Jardine was very colorful, stating, "I love the game itself to much would never jeopardize everything I work so hard for with something like that! I play this game for free!!”

It was not immediately clear how these rumors got started.
