AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am Betting

The PGA Tour betting is in California this week for the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. There is a strong field assembled in California although the world’s top three golfers will be in Dubai.  Dustin Johnson and Phil Mickelson are the two favorites to win Pebble Beach with each listed at about 7-1 in golf odds at SBG Global.com.

There should be some low scores this week at Pebble Beach as the weather forecast is good through Saturday. Dustin Johnson is the two-time defending champion of this event which makes him a serious contender. The only thing that is going against him is that there has never been a three-peat in the event’s history.  Johnson has great length and he killed the par 5’s last year as he went 11-under that included three eagles.  Johnson will try and make history by winning three years in a row and he has the game to do it.

The hottest golfer on the tour is Mark Wilson who won last week in Phoenix. He already had two wins on the PGA Tour this golf betting season. He has gone from 234th in the World rankings to 51st.  Wilson led the field last week in greens in regulation, tied for fourth in birdies and ranked 11th in putting. If you think he can win again this week you can get him at longshot odds.

Another player who is hot is Nick Watney who had a 63 in the final round at Torrey Pines a couple of weeks ago and last week finished in a tie for fifth.  He is getting some action on the golf odds board at 14-1. Just behind Watney on the odds board is Tim Clark at about 16-1.  He has five Top 25 finishes in seven starts at Pebble Beach including a tie for 10th last year. Geoff Ogilvy is next in golf odds at about 18-1. He made his first start of the year last week and was pretty good as he tied for 13th. He should be even better this week in his second start.

There was a Vijay Singh sighting last week as he finished tied for third. It was his first top-three finish on tour since 2008. He is second in all-time earnings at Pebble Beach and if he plays like he did last week he has some serious value at odds of more than 30-1.

Not to be forgotten this week is last year’s FedExCup Champ Jim Furyk who is listed at 20-1 and Hunter Mahan who is 25-1.
