A new charter airline plans to launch casino-themed service between Las Vegas and New York City this summer.

LV Air intends to fly four nonstop flights a day from New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport to McCarran International Airport in the Nevada gambling mecca.

LV Air's top executive, Sean Smith, told the newspaper that the company hopes to begin the flights by August.

Smith said he plans to contract with casino companies to buy seats on planes and give them to their best customers. LV Air would reciprocate by feeding  casinos  its database of new customers reached in the New York area.

LV Air will fly four nonstop flights a day between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and McCarran International, increasing the number of seats coming into the market from there to 2,495 a day — nearly the twice the number that come in daily from Reno.
