An 11 am New Jersey Governor Chris Christie scheduled press conference where he was set to discuss his decision related to legalized Internet gambling in the state has been delayed for reasons that are yet to be disclosed.

Christie discussed education reform, noting that he will advise about his decision on Internet gambling later in the day when asked by a reporter.

Christie is expected to either veto or sign the bill that would make New Jersey the first to legalize the multi-billion dollar industry in the States.  Currently, operators are based offshore but more than half the business comes from US gamblers placing bets online.

The measure proposed by State Senator Raymond Lesniak would have online gambling firms hosted out of Atlantic City with more than 20 percent of taxes going to state coffers.

The live streaming press conference was now password protected.  Gambling911.com was following and you can follow us on Twitter.
