The Heat-Spurs line was listed at San Antonio -2 with a total of 195.5.  All odds available at Sportsbook.com here.

The Heat complete the back end of an absurdly difficult back-to-back set when they visit San Antonio Friday night.

On Thursday, the Heat hosted Orlando, losing 99-96. They were essentially a two-man team, with LeBron James scoring 29 and Dwyane Wade 28. Chris Bosh added 13, but no one else scored in double-digits. Their bench was especially dreadful, getting outscored 34-11 by Orlando’s second unit. James and Wade combined to play 80 minutes, meaning they’ll be especially worn going into Friday night’s game.

Sixth man Mike Miller has not brought the kind of complementary three-point shooting the Heat were expecting out of him. He’s been bothered by injuries all season, most recently missing four games in February with a concussion, and has been unable to find his rhythm with the rebuilt Heat. He’s played the past two games, but has only taken a total of nine shots in 51 minutes off the bench, contributing 15 points. Miami’s newest addition, veteran point guard Mike Bibby, is also trying to find his way. He was ineffective in his Heat debut Thursday night, scoring three points on 1-of-4 shooting, all from behind the arc, and missing two free throws. But Miami has performed well in back-to-back situations this year. The Heat are 12-3 SU (7-8 ATS) on the back end of back-to-backs, averaging 104.7 PPG on 49.2% shooting from the field (as opposed to their season averages of 101.9 PPG on 47.5% shooting).

They also catch a bit of a break in that they get San Antonio while point guard Tony Parker (calf) is shelved. The Spurs have been without Parker for two games. The first was a 16-point Tuesday night loss in Memphis, one of their worst performances of the year. They allowed the Grizzlies to shoot 52.8% from the field and score 109 points.
