Ireland’s largest online bookmaker, Paddy Power, had released odds on how many Twitter followers troubled bad boy actor Charlie Sheen will have amassed by year’s end.  Quite obviously, the oddsmakers had little notion just how big a following he might garner in such a short period of time.

Forget December 31, 2011.  In just a 48 hour period, Sheen managed to rack up over 2 million Twitter followers and counting.

“Paddy Power was still listing UNDER 2 million Twitter followers at 10/1 odds,” noted Payton O’Brien, Senior Editor of the Gambling911.com website.  “You can still bet on under 2 million even though he’s gone over.  They were yet to remove these odds at press time.”

At this rate, they may have to recalculate the OVER.

10 million or OVER is listed with just better than even odds.

“Another record shattered,” the actor, 45, Tweeted Monday. "We gobbled the soft target that was 2.0 mil, like a bag of a troll-house zombie chow."

Each new record broken is being entered into the Guinness Book of World Records.
