The Missouri Tigers vs. Texas Longhorns college football odds opened at Texas -6 ½ and has hovered between -5 and -5 ½. This was the most heavily bet on Saturday game early on despite being one of the last to be played.

Texas has owned this series, winning 7 of the last 8 dating back to 1995. That said, Missouri's one win was as a +3 underdog. Every other game, they were a +7 ½ or greater underdog. The four recent Texas wins were by more than the 5 ½ points allocated here.

Texas is ranked number one and they will have to fight to maintain that position as three teams ranked in the top 11 face the Longhorns on the upcoming schedule.

"We shouldn't have jumped from five to one," said Brown, who pushed Alabama for the No. 1 spot. "It's really insignificant, except the teams that are up there all want to fight to get in the BCS mix at the end."

Missouri meanwhile can redeem itself for a home loss last weekend against Oklahoma State by beating the number one ranked Texas.

"Everyone woke up heartbroken Sunday morning," defensive end Stryker Sulak said. "Nobody was happy. But after the team meeting Sunday, we knew we had to flush it and move on. There's nothing we can do about it."

Missouri (5-1, 1-1 Big 12 Conference), which dropped to No. 11, still controls its own destiny as far as the Big 12 North Division, but the Tigers are part of a crowded mix of teams still alive as national championship contenders.

This is a hard game to bet despite the past history between these two teams. Missouri is improved and could cover here or they could have another outing like this past weekend.

75 percent of gamblers were betting on the Texas spread. More than 95 percent of the action on the +190 money line was going towards Missouri however. If Missouri were to win outright, the payout would be $200 for every $100 bet.
