BYU vs. Wofford Line

The expected BYU vs. Wofford line based on Gambling911.com’s calculations was going to open at Cougars -14.  The official odds on this game will be available at betED.com beginning Monday and it is possible we could see a reduced spread due to a key player on the favored team not being available to play.

BYU earned a number three seed in the Southeast region of the 2011 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament.  They will face Wofford from the Southern Conference on Thursday, March 17 in the second round.

The Cougars are just 3-2 since losing forward Brandon Davies to an honor code violation, making an upset by Wofford possible.  The last time they were as high as a fourth seed was 1987-88.

BYU comes into this game having lost badly to San Diego State on Saturday and that has a lot to do with Davies absence.

"It's a big factor. He's a key player on that team," San Diego State Senior Billy White said of Davies not being present. "We took advantage of that and crashed the boards, just played San Diego State basketball. We knew if we just tried to contain Jimmer and tried to make everybody else shoot, we knew that we had the game."

Sixers? Knicks? Who Can Challenge Boston in the East this Season?
