March Madness 2011 Betting Odds

March Madness 2011 betting odds were now available for Gonzaga vs. St. John’s, Richmond vs. Vanderbilt, Morehead State vs. Louisville and Wofford vs. BYU.  These games were being played in Denver as part of the First Round March 17.  All odds were courtesy of BetED.com, which was now offering a FREE $250 for new deposits.  Use bonus code: GAMBLING911

Vanderbilt was coming in as a mere -1 favorite against Richmond despite being a number 5 seed vs. Richmond as a number 12 seed.  Gambling911.com advised prior to the official posted line to bet on Richmond as the better team in this contestWe expected the oddsmakers might place a pretty heavy line on this game favoring Vanderbilt, but that didn’t happen.

St. John’s we felt would open at -5.  Instead, they open at -2.

We anticipated BYU to open as a -14 favorite but warned that the spread would likely be reduced due to Brandon Davies not playing.  They’ve gone 3-2 without him.  It’s no surprise the oddsmakers at betED.com have slashed the line in half from where we anticipated it to open.

Below are all your March Madness 2011 betting odds for the Denver First Round games.

Sixers? Knicks? Who Can Challenge Boston in the East this Season?

As the new NBA season gets underway, there is most certainly a sense that the Boston Celtics are the team to beat once again. The 18-time champions really took an “if it’s not broken, don’t try to fix it” policy in the offseason, and it’s hard to argue with the tactic.
