Tennessee vs. Michigan Odds at Vols -2
Tennessee vs. Michigan odds had the Volunteers (Vols) as the -2 favorites at betED.com heading into Friday’s NCAA College Basketball game slate. Tennessee was getting 65 percent of the spread action. 127.5 was the total with approximately 60 percent on the UNDER.
The Vols come into this game under a dark shadow with head coach Bruce Pearl losing the support of his athletic director amid the NCAA probe on recruiting that caused him to be suspended for eight Southeastern Conference games. There are rumors that Pearl will be dumped once their season is over.
Despite the turmoil surrounding Pearl, Tennessee does have a sufficient amount of talent including Scotty Hopson in the backcourt and freshman start Tobias Harris.
"Right now we're boxing out anybody we see. If you get in that hallway on the way back I'm going to box you out," Michigan coach John Beilein told a reporter. "They are tremendous offensive rebounders. Somebody asked me if it would concern you. It would concern the Boston Celtics if they had to box these guys out."
History tells us that the Vols will have trouble beating Michigan in the first round. They are just 4-12 Against The Spread in first round tournaments since 1997.
On the other hand, when playing against a team with a winning record after 15 or more games, Michigan is an impressive 11-3 ATS and 12-4 ATS as an underdog.
This game goes off at 12:45 pm ET on Tru TV.
