Online Gambling Business: Victory Poker Moving to Cereus Network
Victory Poker is looking to make yet another move to another network it seems based on reports surfacing this past week.
RakeTheRake.com broke the story and Victory Poker’s CEO has since confirmed it.
The website claims that Victory will be leaving the Cake Network shortly. Cake recently announced a strategic alliance with PokerListings.com, which should help to broaden its scope of players.
Observers note that Victory Poker has changed networks approximately 3 times in the past year.
Bwin Shares Way Up Ahead of Party Merger
Austrian online gaming firm Bwin has said revenues were up 15.2% to 514.6m euros (£446m; $723m) in 2010.
The firm offers sports betting, poker and casino games, with 20 million customers in more than 25 core markets.
It is set to join forces with PartyGaming by week’s end.
Crytpologic Considering Potential Sale
In a report appearing in the Irish Times Sunday, software specialist Cryptologic is said to be considering the possibility of a sale of all or part of the business in a strategic review announced over the weekend.
The Dublin-headquartered company said it had asked Deloitte Corporate Finance to assist with a strategic review of the business, which lost €14 million last year.
Its statement said that the review “will consider a number of strategic options, including the possibility of an offer being made for the company or a disposal of part of the business”.
It is yet to attract any offers, however.
Cryptologic was one of the first online gambling software firms.
