Chicago Bulls Odds to Win 2011 NBA Championship

They may be leading the Eastern Conference but the Chicago Bulls aren’t getting a whole lot of respect with odds to win the 2011 NBA Championship currently at 4/1 at BetUS.com.

The Bulls are not only 4 games ahead of the Miami Heat and 6 games ahead of the Boston Celtics, they are also riding a nine game win streak.  On Wednesday Chicago took the number one seed and home court advantage for the Playoffs with a 97-92 win over the New Jersey Nets.

"I'm happy, I'm definitely happy," Derrick Rose said following that game. "I wouldn't like to be on a losing team, but what's the point of celebrating now when you can get knocked out in the playoffs?"

San Antonio's 106-103 loss to Phoenix also helped seal the deal for Chicago.   It was the Bulls best regular season performance since Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen collected their final championship.

"It's a whole different environment," Bulls Joakim Noah said of his team’s offseason makeover. "You're playing for something big. That's what it's all about, something you dream about playing in. Big stage. It doesn't get much better than that playing in the NBA playoffs for the Chicago Bulls. It's going to be a lot of fun."

The Miami Heat come into the Playoffs as a +250 favorite, just slightly ahead of the Los Angeles Lakers at 3/1.  The San Antonio Spurs were listed with 6/1 odds of winning the 2011 NBA Championship.

Sixers? Knicks? Who Can Challenge Boston in the East this Season?

As the new NBA season gets underway, there is most certainly a sense that the Boston Celtics are the team to beat once again. The 18-time champions really took an “if it’s not broken, don’t try to fix it” policy in the offseason, and it’s hard to argue with the tactic.
