Bulls-Hawks Line at -8.5 Game 1: Carlos Boozer May Not Play
Game 1 of the NBA Playoffs features a Bulls-Hawks line of -8.5 in favor of Chicago. The line is subject to move depending on Carlos Boozer’s status.
He was kept out of practice Friday with a turf toe injury.
"It's hard to say [if he'll be ready to play Monday], but I'm thinking that he will be able to," coach Tom Thibodeau said, according to Friedell. "He has some discomfort, but it's gotten better each day. Hopefully, [Saturday] it will be a lot better."
Even if he does play, there’s a good chance he won’t be at 100 percent.
Atlanta will come into this game as the +8.5 underdog Against The Spread. So far, prior to the San Antonio-Memphis game (still being played as this went to press), the underdogs have gone an unbelievable 25-12-3 ATS in the First Round of the NBA Playoffs.
“With that type a record it is a wonder how only the underdog Hawks managed to make it this far to the next round,” noted Don Shapiro of Gambling911.com, who stressed that Memphis could still beat out the heavily favored San Antonio Spurs to advance.
