It’s been a hard fall for UB.com and Absolute Poker as the network has lost more than three quarters of its online poker traffic post-indictments.

UB.com and Absolute Poker were caught up in an April 15 crackdown by US law enforcement along with PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker.  Each were charged with money laundering and bank fraud.  The three sites also had their domain names seized by the US Justice Department.

While PokerStars and Full Tilt have elected to leave the US market, UB.com continues to allow play by those living in the US (though they are not currently accepting new customers from that nation).

Prior to the indictments, UB.com ranked among the top 6 online poker rooms in the world.  PokerStars and Full Tilt remain the two largest even after the US exit.

PokerScout.com noted:

A small sample taken today of Cereus's cash game tables showed at least 25% of seats were filled by players with probable US locations such as Omaha, Atlanta and Memphis, so the network still has farther to fall if and when those players depart. Cereus may even struggle to survive this crisis as a viable business.

UB.com continues to accept new business from outside the US including Europe and Canada.  Payouts are being reported, however, the company has placed a limit of $250 weekly on withdrawals.
