The Eurovision Song Contest 2011 odds have been posted with the event taking place in Düsseldorf, Germany Saturday night.  The Eurovision Song Contest is a competition held between European nations belonging to the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).

Each member country submits a song to be performed on live television and then casts votes for the other countries' songs to determine the most popular song in the competition.

What country is the favorites to win?

That would be France, which is paying near even odds at 6/4 at Extrabet.com.

France’s Amaury Vassili, 21, admitted Friday to being a little nervous.

"I've been the favourite now for two months," Vassili told AFP in an interview.

"Just as long as I give a good performance I'll be happy... But I'll be very disappointed if I finish lower than 10th."

Ireland comes in as the second favorite at bwin:  4/1 odds.

Azerbaijan pays 9/1 odds at bwin and Betfair.  These are great odds considering some bookmakers were offering the country at 7/1.

United Kingdom pays a red hot 14/1 at 32Red.com compared to some books paying as low as 9/1.

Duncan James will represent the United Kingdom.

"As a kid it was a very big thing in my family - we used to watch it every single year religiously," he said.

"I remember Michael Ball representing us in 1992 and he came second. It was really exciting when the votes came in because we nearly won. And when we won with Katrina And The Waves, that was a fantastic

Germany pays 22/1 at BoyleSports.com.  We seen odds as low as 16/1 on this country.

Estonia, Denmark, Hungary, Finland, Sweden and Austria were listed next followed by a bunch of long shots.
