Phil Hellmuth is Close to Getting 12th Bracelet at World Series of Poker
The all-time leading World Series of Poker bracelet holder Phil Hellmuth is gunning for bracelet number 12 at the 2011 WSOP.
Event no. 16, the $10,000 2-7 Draw Lowball World Championship has Hellmuth among the final nine and Hellmuth has the 7th largest chip stack.
But Hellmuth will have to overcome some top talent to obtain his 12th WSOP bracelet. Those at the final table include the likes of Greg Raymer, the 2004 WSOP main event winner, and John Juanda, a four-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner.
Hellmuth has over $9 million in live tournament winnings to date. He has not placed 1st in a major tournament for four years now following his $637,254 cashout at the 38th Annual World Series of Poker Event #15 – WSOP No Limit Hold’em.
Hellmuth, known affectionately as the “Poker Brat”, tweeted about his success up to this point.
