Colts vs Titans

The Monday Night Football betting odds on the Indianapolis Colts vs. Tennessee Titans game opened at -3 ½ in favor of Tennessee and has since moved to -4 at some online sports books. BetOnline.com was one of about 90 percent of the online sports books now offering a line of -4.

The tables have turned a bit in this game. Heading into the season one would have expected the Colts to be an easy road favorite. Now, with an uncharacteristic .500 record of 3-3, Indianapolis will face the only undefeated team in the NFL, the 6-0 Titans.

Quarterback Kerry Collins has taken over as the starter, replacing Vince Young - the No. 3 selection in 2006 - and is 5-0 as a starter this season.

"Kerry Collins is three things," Polian said. "One, he's among the toughest quarterbacks in the NFL. You can take two jet planes, two F-16s, rush them off the edge and it wouldn't bother Kerry Collins one iota. Secondly, he can make every throw. Third, he's a winner. He has the soul and the heart of a winner. He's going to find a way to win. There is no obstacle too big for Kerry Collins to overcome.

"On top of that, he is now an extremely veteran presence who lends not only great talent, but great wisdom and leadership to this team. He's sort of the missing piece, if you will."

Tackes Albert Haynesworth and end Kyle Vanden Bosch form the core of one of the NFL's best defensive lines. The Titans have not allowed more than 17 points in their last nine games.

The Colts have dominated this series over the last 10 games going 8-2, however, the Titans two wins came over the last three head-to-head matchups. The Titans have also gone 4-0 Against The Spread over the last four games. That's because Tennessee has not lost against the Colts by more than 2 points over that time period.

Can Tennessee win by more than 4 points is the question coming into this game though?

Indianapolis is 3-9 ATS in their last 12 vs. AFC South while the Titans are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 vs. AFC South.

Still, we're not 100 percent confident that Tennessee can win this one by more than a field goal. These games have been too close in recent years. The Colts will also come into this game desperate for a win.

The betting action is 60/40 in favor of the Titans on the spread but 80 percent or more of the money line action is going Indianapolis' way (Colts pay $165 for every $100 bet to win outright). Gambling911.com picks the Indianapolis Colts to cover the 4 point line.
