Following weeks of backed up payment processing that forced Merge Poker to temporarily halt accepting new clients from the US, the online poker network this week appears to be catching up.

Dozens of customers began reporting on Tuesday either receipt of checks or approved withdrawals.

The network has said payments could take up to 6 weeks initially following the massive growth experienced as a result of PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker and UB.com pulling out of the US market.  Merge experienced triple digit growth as a result.

“Hopefully this is a start of good things to come,” remarked one poster on the popular poker forum TwoPlusTwo.com.

While many Web gambling firms have delayed payouts due to lack of processing, Merge was especially hard hit by processing issues as a result of its nominal competition in the US market.
