It’s official, Ashley Young has become Manchester United’s second major signing of the summer.  Odds remained at 7/4 across the board for Man United to win the 2011/2012 Premiership.

The cost to cash-rich Man United is believed to be $26.6 million.  Young was snatched away from Villa with only 12 months left on his contract.

“It’s a prospect I always looked at from being a child — to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world,” Young told United’s in-house TV channel in regard to joining the Manchester United club. “I’ve got that opportunity now so I’ve just got to take it with two hands.”

Odds on Ashley Young set by oddsmakers have him scoring 7.5 total league goals (OVER/UNDER) and he is currently listed at 8/1 odds of being Man United’s top scorer.

More odds to win the 2011-2012 Premiership:

Chelsea 9/4

Man City 7/2

Arsenal 7/1

Liverpool 11/1
