2006 World Series of Poker Winner Jamie Gold Owes Borgata Over $52K

2006 World Series of Poker winner Jamie Gold allegedly owes the Borgata in Atlantic City $52,279.47.  The casino claims that Gold bounced a check there. 

While the Borgata won a judgment in New Jersey, they have had to re-file in California where Gold maintains a residence. 

Gold won $12.2 million at the 2006 WSOP Main Event, the biggest amount ever but was forced to split with a celebrity endorser.  Gold ended up with $6 million as a result. 

Gold has only won under $5000 in live tournaments so far this year after taking home just $30,000 in live tournaments last year.  Overall he has won just over $100,000 in the five years since being crowned the WSOP champ in 2006.
