Ukraine World Series of Poker winner Arkadiy Tsinis said he meant no disrespect having the Ukrainian National Anthem played following his win, as opposed to the American Anthem.

The 34-year-old Tsinis, who has lived in Las Veags for 18 years, said he was protesting the US Government’s crackdown on Internet gambling.  Three online poker rooms were indicted on April 15 while two others had their domains seized one month later.

“I am very proud of my country, now that I live here,” he said after winning the $1,500 buy-in No-Limit Hold ‘em championship Saturday in Las Vegas.

“But with the state of online poker and the way it is right now, I think at these pokers events we should all boycott (the U.S. anthem), not to show disrespect in any way, but to show the politicians … they should do something about this issue.”
