Tom Dwan Odds to Win 2011 World Series of Poker Main Event at 100-1
Tom Dwan, the online poker phenom, who is yet to win a World Series of Poker bracelet, was listed with odds of 100-1 to win one in 2011 at William Hill (*US players prohibited)
The Edison, New Jersey-born Dwan, a Full Tilt pro, has been celebrating the news that Full Tilt Poker was apparently purchased by a group of mysterious European investors, while the rest of the poker playing community is slowly becoming a bit skeptical. But in any event, Dwan has reportedly guaranteed payment of players (and offered to pay them all back himself?) We suspect (and hope) he is just bluffing.
In any event, Dwan has managed somehow to keep his name off of a class action lawsuit filed against Full Tilt Poker.
There is reason to bet on Tom “Durrrr” Dwan to win the 2011 World Series of Poker Main event. He is starting to perform quite well at live tournaments (probably because he has nowhere else to play now that FTP has exited the US market). At this year’s WSOP, Dwan cashed out a total of three times, including a 5th place finish at the WSOP H.O.R.S.E Championship where he took home $134,484.
