Online Poker Traffic: PartyPoker Pulls Away from iPoker

With Full Tilt Poker shut down and PartyPoker eliminating tournament fees, the online poker traffic landscape has changed drastically in the past week.

Party, which was only averaging around 100 more “real cash” players than its closest competitor iPoker just last week, is suddenly averaging close to 600 more.

Now the world’s number two largest Internet poker room, PartyPoker announced last week that, for a limited time only, it would be waiving all fees on upcoming MTT tournaments.

The rake removal means that all the money paid by the players will go into the prize pool.

iPoker is looking to cut into that lead with a €1250 new signup bonus and up to €2400 in first deposit free roll tournaments courtesy of skins like William Hill, which just happens to be the United Kingdom’s largest bookmaking business.  US poker players are unfortunately prohibited from playing at either PartyPoker or William Hill at this time.
