The line on the Major League Baseball All Star Game 2011 was favoring the National League at -125 at Bookmaker. The American League would pay just slightly better than even odds with a win on Tuesday.

The American League could actually have good value here with Boston now having the second best record in the league after the Philadelphia Phillies.  The New York Yankees are as solid as ever while both the Texas Rangers and Los Angeles Angels have 50 or more wins on the season.  The Angels, in particular, have been super hot, winning 14 of their last 17 games.

That’s not to take anything away from the National League with Philadelphia having 57 wins and Atlanta and San Francisco both with over 50 wins.

At press time, the MLB All Star Game rosters continued to change, and so too might the line if it’s not locked in by Tuesday

The LA Times noted that sixteen players named to the teams will not participate in the game. Eight players were selected on Sunday to play in the game for the first time, with some of them replacing replacements.

When considering betting the Major League Baseball All Star Game 2011 line, it might be wise to look at recent history.  Since 1988, the American League has dominated, winning 18 of 23 with 1 tie, including a 13 game unbeaten streak (12-0-1) from 1997 to 2009. The National League ended their 13 year drought with a 3 - 1 victory in 2010.
