Sleeping beauty Phil Hellmuth apparently didn’t get his wakeup call Monday morning and slept through a portion of Day 2A of the World Series of Poker.  Friend Mike Matusow had to rush to Hellmuth’s aid.

He rushed to his room to wake him.

Mike Matusow wrote on Twitter: [Phil Hellmuth] is such a idiot hes getting blinded off has 5k left has his phoneoff and a do not disturb on his phone at hotel.

Hellmuth later Tweeted: Security broke into my room, I’m like, “What’s going on?!?” SGuard says, “You’re playing in the World Series of Poker today.” He continued in another Tweet: I jump out of bed, dress, and run down to my car. Didn’t know you could drive 75 on side roads!! I Thought I played Day 2 Tuesday…

All eyes are on Hellmuth to win the 2011 World Series of Poker Main Event after he managed to finish in second at three WSOP events over the past few weeks including the coveted Players Championship, where he walked off with over a million dollars.

Hellmuth was able to grab hold of some chips quickly after taking his seat.
