Cake Poker may not seem like one of the biggest European online poker networks, but they have certainly benefited from Full Tilt Poker leaving that market

With players returning home from the World Series of Poker, online poker traffic has risen 3.4 percent this past week.  Online poker rooms continue to swallow up traffic from Full Tilt Poker, which lost its license two weeks ago.

Everest Poker, PartyPoker and – in particular – Cake Poker have all fared incredibly well since Full Tilt Poker had its licensed yanked two weeks ago.

“Cake Poker is one of the biggest surprises,” notes Payton O’Brien, Senior Editor of the Gambling911.com website.  “They never really experienced tremendous growth after PokerStars, Full Tilt and Absolute Poker left the US market on April 15 despite Cake still accepting US customers, yet the Full Tilt Poker closure in Europe seems to have really impacted the site in a positive way.”

Cake Poker appears to be the biggest beneficiary of the FTP shutdown in Europe, with an increase of 40 percent in traffic.

One of the driving forces behind Cake Poker’s surge might be its continued 33 percent rakeback offer.

Another Gambling911.com sponsor,888Poker, has seen a 20 percent increase in business since the Full Tilt Poker debacle.

Everest has seen the biggest increase at 46 percent, PartyPoker has gone up 35 percent, iPoker has seen a 24 percent increase and PokerStars has seen its traffic grow at a 17 percent rate.
