After pulling out of the US market in 2006, VIP.com, BetGameDay.com and Nine.com have decided to close shop.  The sites all feature a closure notice.

VIP.com/BetGameDay.com were two of the oldest online gambling websites, mostly specializing in sports betting, however, both had Internet casinos.

Nine.com was a hugely successful online sports betting site throughout much of the first half of this past decade before being purchased by VIP.com.

VIP.com/BetGameDay.com have always operated in Curacao.  The two companies were run by highly regarded individuals in the online gambling sector who made a name for themselves at various gaming conferences before laying low post-prohibition in 2006.  Their intention had always been to re-enter the US market should regulation come to fruition.

Nine.com was originally founded in 1998 on the island of Margarita, a one time Venezuelan stronghold for offshore sports betting sites prior to Hugo Chavez coming into power.

The company first operated as Grand Central Sports then changed its name to BetCom before expanding to include some sister sites.  The group would eventually become Nine.com.  Marty Davis and Simon Eaton were two of the most popular affiliate tandems in the industry.

The founder of Nine.com went on to open one of the best Italian restaurants in Escazu, Costa Rica.

These companies were regular staples of the Gambling911.com website during their heyday and will be sorely missed.
