Phil Gordon, a professional poker player named as a defendant in a class action lawsuit against Full Tilt Poker, has voluntarily been dismissed.

Gordon claimed that as a member of Team Full Tilt he “never participated in any management decisions or operational roles at Full Tilt.”

The suit was filed by Steve Segal, Nick Hammer, Robin Hougdahl and Todd Terry on behalf of themselves, citing damages caused by Full Tilt Poker’s inability to pay back players in the United States following an April 15 indictment against the company’s co-founders.  The US Justice Department has charged Raymond Bitar and Nelson Burtnick with money laundering and bank fraud in connection with alleged misrepresentations of gambling proceeds.

The defendants are Full Tilt Poker and its associated entities along with the two co-founders.  Also named are several FTP pros who represented the company including actress Jennifer Harman, Howard Lederer and Phil Ivey.

A jury trial has been demanded.

Gordon had previously issued a statement, which read: “I have always held myself to the highest standards of conduct.  As part of that, I have repeatedly emphasized that Full Tilt should repay the U.S. players as quickly as possible.”
