Since the April 15 indictment of its two co-founders in the United States, PokerStars had continued to storm back even without a US customer base.

The company lost its entire US player base after it was forced to abruptly exit that market.  Some 10,000 average real cash players were stripped away as a result.  But Stars continues to make a triumphant comeback.

“It has been one of the biggest beneficiaries of Full Tilt Poker’s closure,” notes Payton O’Brien, Senior Editor of the Gambling911.com website.  “The two online poker rooms employed similar models including a wealth of high stakes games.”

PokerStars also paid back all its US customers, something that FTP is yet to do.

The world’s largest online poker room has gained back more than half the number of customers it lost since the dreaded “Black Friday” (April 15).  There was a 3000 increase in average players after Full Tilt Poker’s license was yanked on June 29.

This past weekend, PokerStars announced its 65-billionth hand.
