Man City Odds of Winning Premier League

With odds of winning the 2012 Premier League still at 3/1, Man City continues to get high marks from big name footballers.

Aston Villa keeper Shay Given is the latest to heap praise upon Manchester City, predicting they can win the championship.

“They've got fantastic owners who are very supportive in bringing in some of the best players in the world, so I think it's inevitable they'll do big things. Winning the Premier League and winning the European Cup – if not next year, then in the years to come. It's just a matter of time. When you have that level of support there's every chance you can do that."

Wayne Rooney this week also gave props to Man City.

"I think they will challenge this time," Rooney said this past weekend.

"They have made some really good signings, British players, and under Kenny Dalglish I'm sure they will be trying harder than they ever have done, fighting to be up there.

"They will think they have a chance of winning the title next season."

Rooney also agreed with Ferguson as it relates to Man City being a formidable Premier League club.

"They've obviously got a lot of good players now and they had a big push towards the end of last season," he said.
