The Green Bay Packers odds to win the 2012 Super Bowl were listed at 3/1, which Gambling911.com does not believe offers much value.  Their odds of winning the NFC North were -300 or 1/3, which definitely has zero value, especially when one considers this could be Detroit’s year finally.

Oddsmakers have the Pack winning 11.5 regular season games.  While Green Bay will only face five teams that made the Playoffs last season, they will also be playing on the road against the New York Giants and San Diego Chargers.  The UNDER is favored at -125 and there actually could be some value here.

Green Bay will be bringing back much of the same team we saw win the Super Bowl last year, without much acquisitions and changes during the offseason.

Eric Batke of DawgpoundDaily.com provides some interesting insight into the Packers upcoming season:

“I think it’s certainly possible. We’re playing the NFC South this year, which had three 10-win teams in 2010, so it’s not like it’ll be the easiest road. Last year Green Bay had all the injuries, nobody was expecting much out of them and they sorta flew under the radar right up until they beat the crap out of Atlanta in the playoffs. This year they won’t sneak up on anybody. But I think they’ve got the talent and the coaching to go toe-to-toe with anyone in the NFC, including the Eagles and Saints.”

Odds to win the NFC North 2011:

Green Bay -300

Detroit +450 pays $450 for every $100 bet

Chicago +450

Minnesota +975 pays close to $1000 on a $100 bet
