The Oregon Ducks vs. California Golden Bears betting odds opened at California -3 and have remained there at most online sportsbooks.  Bookmaker.com was one of a handful of websites offering California at -2 ½ heading into game time.  That online sportsbook was also offering a 20 percent cash signup bonus when opening a betting account.

Oregon has gone 7 of 10 in this series, however, California has won the last two and last 3 of 4.

The Ducks are 1-4 ATS vs. a team with a winning record and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games vs. a team with a winning home record.

The Golden Bears are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 home games and 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games following a SU win of more than 20 points.

The story lines courtesy of the Mercury News: The first of four consecutive games that will decide Cal's fate. Oregon is tied with USC for first in the Pac-10, while the Bears are a half-game behind, making this a Rose Bowl-elimination game. Will Cal's defense, which has played well but for a few quarters, contain Oregon's spread option, which averages 475 yards and 41.5 points per game? . . . And how will Cal's injury-depleted offensive line handle an Oregon pass rush that leads the conference in sacks?

Matchup to watch: Cal tackles Donovan Edwards and Mitchell Schwartz vs. Oregon defensive ends Nick Reed and Will Tukuafu. Reed and Tukuafu form one of the top end tandems in the conference, combining for 14 sacks and 24 tackles-for-loss. . . . This could be the toughest challenge thus far for Schwartz, an impressive freshman. And it will be the first start for Edwards, a junior college transfer.
