The Philadelphia Eagles odds of winning the 2012 Super Bowl have been set at 6 to 1 while their NFC East odds were at -200.  Are the Eagles being overhyped?

A team that should have been good, could have been good, would have been good in past seasons looks like the real deal coming into 2011.

Philadelphia has signed two Pro Bowl DBs and a Pro Bowl defensive end during the offseason while bringing back most of Philadelphia's offensive weapons.  There is little indeed to get in the way of the Eagles flight to the Super Bowl than that little thing called “the injury bug”.

Everything suggest this will be a great Eagles team, everything except past seasons that suggested the same and failed to delivery.

That being said, the Eagles have very good value at 6/1 odds of winning the 2012 Super Bowl and that number probably will get shorter pretty quick into the season, especially if they can beat Atlanta at home.
