The Florida State Seminoles had -300 odds of winning the Atlantic Division ACC Conference.  With Maryland having the next shortest odds at 4/1, Florida State does have some value.

Winning the 2012 BCS Championship would pay out 10/1 odds.

Winning OVER 9.5 regular season games had a line of -155, which offers little value for the price.  The UNDER pays $125 on a $100 bet.

Scout.com had this to say about Florida State’s chances this year:

Jimbo Fisher has restocked the shelves with big-time talent, and quarterback E.J. Manuel appears ready to lead the high-powered attack. Can the program be done turning the corner from the Bobby Bowden era? Check out the CFN 2011 Florida State Preview.

The schedule for Florida State is here:

Sept. 3 ULM

Sept. 10 Char. South.

Sept. 17 Oklahoma

Sept. 24 at Clemson

Oct. 1 OPEN DATE

Oct. 8 at Wake Forest

Oct. 15 at Duke

Oct. 22 Maryland

Oct. 29 NC State

Nov. 3 at Boston Coll.

Nov. 12 Miami

Nov. 19 Virginia

Nov. 26 at Florida

Obviously, Oklahoma should present the toughest challenge.

Clemson, Maryland and Boston College are winnable but will test Florida State.

In addition to Oklahoma, we can see the Seminoles losing to Miami and Florida, thus making the 9.5 total season win bet a little tough to swallow while the more likely OVER has too big a price tag attached.

Future Betting Value Index:

Florida State to win the 2012 BCS Championship 10/1 – Fair

Florida State to win the 2011 Atlantic Division 1/2 – Very Good

Florida State to win OVER 9.5 regular season games -155 - Poor
