Macau Gambling Revenue Up

The world’s largest gambling Mecca, Macau, continues to see profits rise at dramatic rates.  This year, Macau witnessed a 57 percent year-on-year rise in gambling revenue for the month of August ($3.08 billion).

Despite the sluggish economy, Macau has reported revenue increases for each month since the start of this year.

The Asian gambling enclave is home to the Sands, MGM China and Wynn Macau.  The powerful gambling mogul Stanley Ho once held a monopoly here but the market has opened up in recent years.
