The Raiders-Bills betting line was coming in at Buffalo -3, which seems a small spread considering the Bills handed Kansas City their worst home loss in decades during Week 1 while the Raiders played rather sloppy in Denver. Oakland did manage to sneak off with a win however.
The Bills Ryan Fitzpatrick threw four touchdown passes Sunday helping his team to a 41-7 victory, the most lopsided season opening loss in the Chiefs history.
"We're not there yet," Bills coach Chan Gailey warned. "I told the team that. I do think we are improved over last year and I thought we'd play well. I believe in our men, and they went out and did some very good things today."
Buffalo so impressed the oddsmakers that their odds of winning the AFC East were pretty much slashed in half to 18/1, a good value (up from “fair” heading into the new season).

The Oakland Raiders won by 3 points Sunday night playing in Denver, but it wasn’t an easy win.
Only two other players in NFL history have made a field goal as long as the one Raiders kicker Sebastian Janikowski nailed Monday to win it for Oakland 23-20.
"To be honest, I didn't hit it that good. It barely got over the bar," Oakland's strong-legged kicker said after tying an NFL record with his monster kick as the first half expired. "I hit a 70-yarder in pregame."
Last season the Raiders managed to win all six of their division games but only won two outside their division.
The line on this game was hovering between -3 and -3.5 across the board early in the week.
Buffalo last beat Oakland at home in 2008 by a single point.
The Bills are 7-2 Against The Spread in their last 9 vs. AFC.
Both teams are 4-9 ATS following a Straight Up win.
“West Coast team, cross country, over the course of time that is a tough test,” remarked Brian Blessing of DonBest.com.
Though the Bills were one of the worst defensive teams last season, the situation has changed dramatically in Buffalo for 2011.
“The Bills defense improved leaps and bounds (during the off season).” Blessing noted.
