The Detroit Lions are finally living up to expectations after two impressive wins to kick off the 2011 regular NFL season.  Fans can finally chuck those bags they’ve been wearing over their heads during the past decade.

Heading into Week 2, the Lions were listed with 3/1 odds to win the 2011 NFC North.  Gambling911.com believes these odds will still be listed between 2/1 and 3/1 when updated this week though we’re not as confident should the Lions win next week.  Green Bay continues to be the favorite to win this division. Detroit beat Tampa Bay on the road last week and destroyed Kansas City at home during Week 2.  Both these teams had winning records last season and were expected to continue that trend.  The Buccaneers did pull off a win in Minnesota on Sunday to start the season 1-1.

As for the Lions odds to win the 2012 Super Bowl, that number was coming in at 15/1 and Gambling911.com was expecting the price to be slashed a bit, perhaps to 12/1.

“This team is looking very good,” noted Mary Montgomery of Gambling911.com.  “They added plenty of talent during the off season and it’s all paying off now.  Both wins this season were decisive, which will help boost their power rankings.
