After opening at -8.5, the Patriots-Bills betting line has dipped down to -7.5 favoring the Bills in Buffalo. For the Bills, this will be an emotional game after safety Damar Hamlin went into cardiac arrest on the field during Monday night's game in Cincinnati. That game was ultimately suspended and the league opted not to reschedule it.
For Sunday's Patriots-Bills game we get a number of Buffalo 8.22, placing this line pretty much on the money. The number has sat on the 7.5 throughout much of the week. These accurate lines at 7/7.5 and above have mostly favored the dogs this season, though the sample size is relatively low.
The Patriots can also punch their ticket to the playoffs with losses from the Dolphins and Steelers and a win from the Jaguars should they lose on Sunday.
Safety Jordan Poyer might not be able to help the Bills just quite yet after he missed Thursday's practice with a knee injury. Bills quarterback Josh Allen (ankle), tight end Dawson Knox (hip) and linebacker Matt Milano (knee) were among those limited. Hamlin’s injury also leaves a hole at safety for Buffalo.
Defensive lineman Davon Godchaux was a non-participant at the Patriots' Thursday practice due to an illness. Wide receivers Jakobi Meyers (shoulder) and DeVante Parker (concussion) were limited, as were defensive backs Marcus Jones (concussion) and Myles Bryant (shoulder).
