The Panthers-Bears line was sitting at -6.5 early in the week with 60 percent of the spread action on Chicago.  Both teams come into this one with records of 1-2.

The Bears lost their game against Green Bay as Jay Cutler was just 2 of 8 with two interceptions when throwing at least 15 yards downfield Sunday. It's the 6th straight game against the Packers Cutler has thrown an interception of that length, including the 2010 NFC Championship Game.

The Carolina Panthers, despite being 1-2, have looked impressive thus far, especially quarterback Cam Newton.

Newton found Greg Olsen over the middle for a 16-yard touchdown with 4:20 left to help the Panthers beat the Jaguars, giving coach Ron Rivera his first victory on the Carolina sideline.

Stan Simmons of BetOnline.com is all over the Bears to cover in this game.

The Bears will be out to prove that their defense is better than their 25th-place ranking, and they’ll be the key to an important victory over the Panthers. Chicago has to find a way to stop Carolina end Charles Johnson, who has a sack in each of Carolina’s first three games, because Cutler needs to time to find his targets. The Panthers have had issues with stopping the run, so this could be the game where Forte gets back on track.
