With only weeks remaining on the calendar year of 2008, online poker pro Tom "durrrr" Dwan is still leading the charge with a whopping $2,262,420 in total winnings. Even after taking down a record pot, only to lost a record pot in the same night in October, he's managed to hold down the top of the leader board.

Still within striking distance is "OMGClayAiken" with $2,042,483 with David Benyamine in third with $1,762,369. Absent from the top ten are Full Tilt Poker pros Gus Hansen and Phil Ivey. Of course, with the nosebleed stakes that these guys play at, the lead could change on just one hand of poker. When or if that will happen is more a question of when versus if, as durrrr seems to find himself in the middle of almost every big hand that gets reported on.

While the tables at Full Tilt are quiet tonight, you can literally watch the fireworks fly as soon as one of these players hits the virtual felt. Who knows? Perhaps by tomorrow when you read this article, the top spot will have changed hands. When this much money is on the line and millions of dollars at stake, the fireworks are bound to fly sooner or later.
