Despite the Red Raiders having a 4-2 record on the season thus far, oddsmakers have decided to offer the Texas Tech vs. Oklahoma line at a whopping -28.5 in favor of the Sooners.  60 percent of those betting the spread were backing Texas Tech here.

While these two teams have alternated wins in recent years, the home team has won the last 7 in this series.  Needless-to-say, there is no money line being offered on this game.  Over the last three years, the home team has managed to cover the current 28.5 point spread including last year’s Sooners victory over the Red Raiders of 45-7.  This is certainly something to keep in mind when placing a bet on this game

While the Red Raiders are 9-1-1 Against The Spread in their last 11 games following a ATS loss, they are also 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games as a road underdog.

Nearly all trends related to Oklahoma favor the Sooners, including that they are 6-1 ATS

in their last 7 games as a home favorite of 10.5 or greater, 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games after accumulating more than 280 yards passing in their previous game, 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a SU win of more than 20 points, 7-2 ATS in their last 9 home games.

The one negative stat applied to the Sooners is that they are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games after allowing less than 275 total yards in their previous game.
