It was revealed Monday night that Houston Texans starting quarterback Matt Schaub will be out for the season with a Lisfranc injury.

Schaub was injured on a quarterback sneak coming out of the end zone late in the second quarter of Houston's 37-9 win over Tampa Bay on Sunday. Schaub stayed in the game, but threw only three passes.

Matt Leinart will start for the Texans on November 27.  Leinart is obviously no Matt Schaub however.

The Texans have the NFL's No. 1 defense (269.7 yards per game) and the third-best rushing offense (158.1 yards per game).

Head Coach Gary Kubiak said: "Right now, we're playing very unselfish football. Everybody's pitching in. I don't think we really care as a group where the plays come from, or who makes the play, scores the points or gets a sack. We just care about winning and we're playing very hard as a football team right now.”

The injury changes the whole dynamic of the AFC South where Houston was favored to win the division.

The Titans now had a record of 5-4 with 8/5 odds of winning the AFC South prior to this week. Those odds are likely to be slashed once updated this week.
