Bodog.com Releases New Poker Software: Includes Rabbit Cam
Bodog.com has released its much-anticipated upgraded poker software on Wednesday, the same day the company officially began switching its affiliate partners over to a new platform, Betting Partners.
Bodog anticipates a heavy market push in Europe now that the new software has been released.
Bodog Europe CEO Patrik Selin pretty much admitted back in August that the company’s previous poker software platform just wasn’t up to par with competing networks.
'If you are going to do a lot of marketing you need to have good software or you are just training up players for one of the bigger sites so,” Selin said.
Among the many unique features for the new Bodog Poker; a “Rabbit Cam”, whereby players can see the cards that would have been dealt even if the hand has finished prior to all other cards being dealt. “Beware: This can frustrate and please at equal measure!” the site warns.
The new Bodog software also will feature competitive rake, improved accessibility and site speed, in-client blackjack, and the ability to play at more tables (up to 20 total), new tournament formats that include more variety when it comes to scheduling of Omaha, Shootouts, Knock-outs and Heads-Up tournies.

Bodog Poker also claims to feature “the most robust data protection system” in the industry, alluding to the notion that traffic monitoring websites will supposedly be “ineffective”. We shall see.
Anonymous tables make this type of player data impossible to collect, Bodog representative Jonas Odman insists.
“We believe that introducing these features makes the Bodog Recreational Poker Model a pioneer in the online poker world and offers all players of all abilities the fairest place to play. We have shown before that we are not afraid of controversy by changing the way rakeback was viewed and starting to block data mining sites earlier this year and these new features now give players a less biased ‘pure poker’ experience. To my mind the software and Bodog’s Recreational Poker Model is a genuine game changer.”
Bodog Poker has made it public knowledge that they wish to attract recreational players or so-called “fish”. Bodog believes data mining sites help provide professionals with an edge that hurts the player community as a whole as well as the operator.
Arguably the best known poker pro on the planet, Daniel Negreanu himself, freely admits that using player data has helped him win. In his own blog he states: “There is plenty of information online that you could find about your opponents. For example, what they've won, what tournaments they normally play and how they do overall. I'd type in their online results under the notes tab, then also color code the notes with either "Winning Tourney Player" or "Losing Tourney Player. All these tools helped me make better reads in marginal situations.”
