The Virginia Tech vs. Clemson line had the visiting Hokies as a -7 point favorite in this ACC Championship game.

Up until earlier this season, Virginia Tech owned this series, winning 5 of the past 6 games and by far more than the current spread.  Clemson handed Virginia Tech one of its two losses so far this season.  Could revenge be coming?

The Hokies have won their last 7 games, 6 of those by more than the current spread of 7.

Clemson has dropped three of their last four after a solid start to the season.  In fact, they had won all their games previous to this stretch of bad luck.

Pat Williams of Don Best TV:  “If I am on the highway right now we got one team going in one direction and the other team going in a different direction.”

Advantage Virginia on defense, but as Williams notes below, the Hokies are not a team that has performed well Against The Spread, going 4-8 even though they have an 11-1 Straight Up record.  We here at Gambling911.com believe that ATS record needs some catching up to do.

One of the best stats in this game:  Frank Beamer in revenge games is 28-11 and that is Against The Spread.

“He really knows how to get revenge,” says Kenny White, who believes Virginia Tech is a little bit overrated when considering their lousy ATS record.  He’s on Clemson.

We say otherwise.  Gambling911.com believes Virginia Tech gets its revenge and won’t have to cover too many points to do so at -7.
