The Chargers vs. Jaguars Monday Night Football line had not moved an inch since opening.  It remains to be seen whether this one moves off the number 3 by the time the game goes off Monday Night.  You can bet this one here and claim up to 25 percent in FREE CASH on your initial deposit

The NFL schedule makers sure had hoped that San Diego and Jacksonville wouldn't be a combined 7-15 SU when they made this game for Monday Night Football, but that is the reality of the situation as both teams begin to make plans for the future. San Diego's season has blown up in their face as they have lost six straight and the roster will likely see some massive turnover come the spring. Meanwhile, Jacksonville just fired their long-time coach Jack Del Rio this week, as 8.5 years of futility and 0 division titles finally took its toll on management. Speaking of management, the Jags owner also sold the team the same day Del Rio was fired so it looks like a new era in Jacksonville is on the horizon.

Until that happens, the 2011 version of the Jaguars must continue to play out the stretch as rookie QB Blaine Gabbert looks to continually improve. His progress has been slower than expected this season as the Jaguars have yet to score more than 20 points in any game this season and they only reached 20 once. That kind of offensive futility cannot translate into wins and that has a lot to do with why Del Rio is currently unemployed. However, their defense has been what has kept them competitive and we have already seen the Jags put together an inspired performance on MNF this season when they shocked the Ravens with a 12-7 victory. Jacksonville is hoping that they can continue the streak of the home team being 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings with San Diego and with the Chargers reeling; there is no better time to take advantage of a team that seemingly is walking around in a haze.

The Chargers had high hopes entering the season but this six-game losing streak has all but eliminated them from contention. There is speculation that QB Philip Rivers is playing with some sort of nagging injury and with all the interceptions he has thrown this year (17), it very well could be the case. Rivers has struggled against mediocre defenses like Oakland, Kansas City and Denver during this slide, so facing a Jaguars D that ranks 4th in the NFL in yards allowed doesn't do the Chargers any favors. San Diego has been one of the worst teams against the spread all season (2-9 ATS) and until they show some consistency and can avoid costly mistakes and turnovers, it is impossible to back them in any game.
