One of the favorites to win the 2008 WSOP was out fast.  David Rheem busted out in 7th place around 8:30 pm EST.

Rheem was a clear favorite to double up with ace-king when the money went into the middle, but Peter Eastgate hit a queen on the flop to take away the advantage from the 28-year-old poker professional.

When asked how he felt about busting out, Rheem said "I feel like sh*t, what do you want me to say?"

He also added: "I played perfect and didn't make any mistakes.  I put my heart into this and my heart has been broken."

It's hard to feel like sh*t when you just won $1.7 million and some change.

Eastgate, a 22-year-old professional from Odense, Denmark, took an 8 million chip lead over Dennis Phillips on the hand for second place. He was 11 million chips behind the leader, Ivan Demidov.

Craig Marquis and Kelly Kim had been eliminated earlier.

In the lead at 9:00 pm EST was the Russian, Ivan Demidov, who also managed to finish in 3rd at this year's World Series of Poker Europe.

Darus Suharto, who spoke to Gambling911.com Senior Correspondent Jenny Woo this past week, was trailing among the top 6 but still holding his own.

Nine players were participating in the 2008 World Series of Poker main event final table, remaining from a field of 6844.
